Importance of higher education highlighted in shaping a student The inauguration of the Biotechnology Association activities of Kumaraguru College of Technology was held recently. Kannaki Uthraraj, Director, The Fertility Centre, Kovai Medical Center and Hospital, spoke on “Technology becomes Human.” She elaborated the use of Assisted Reproduction Techniques (ART) for begetting children. Pointing out the various reasons that could attribute to infertility in women, Dr. Kannaki added that treatment would depend on the underlying cause. The possibility of gamete retrieval from cancer patients prior to chemotherapy and preservation of the same for future use was also explained. Co-Chairman of the college B.K.
